2023: Another fantastic year for Harrison Carloss

18th December 2023

Wow! How quick has this year gone?! It doesn’t seem that long ago we were all venturing back into the office on a dark, cold, January morning and here we are, preparing to wrap up our projects and finish what we can before the festivities begin again.

2023 has been jam-packed with projects to be proud of, an abundance of new client wins and we’ve given even more to charity this year!

Awwward-winning

Well, let’s start with a glittering trophy. We won Honors with Awwwards for the design and build of 9024 Media’s website. It’s big, it’s bold and packs a punch for an agency specialising in the promotion of sports people. We immersed users into the world of sport with innovative, rapid, reactive content.

Awwwards are the website awards that recognise and promote the talent and effort of the best developers, designers and agencies in the world so we were chuffed to bits to win.

Building Fort Knox

Not the real Fort Knox of course but our servers are pretty secure and that’s not just us saying it. We were delighted this year to receive our Cyber Essentials Certification meaning the websites and platforms we’re hosting for our clients are super secure.

Connecting YMCA

One of the ‘biggies’ this year has been working with YMCA England and Wales to help connect 10,000 staff, volunteers and trustees.

We were delighted to have designed and built Y-Hub, a complete communication platform to help to support and connect 83 YMCA’s across England and Wales. Available as a progressive web app (with push notifications too!), it’s helped to bring together so many people enabling them to share resources, chat, book events, as well as allowing individuals to show who’s the most competitive with the ‘Daily Quiz’.

Flexing our creative muscles

2023 wasn’t all about web though, we have also flexed our creative muscles and have rebranded some blooming brilliant clients including; Punter Southall and Northwood, with another one to be announced in early 2024 so keep your eyes peeled. We just can’t wait! Eek!

No work and all play

We’ve also made sure we’ve had plenty of ‘team building’ this year with lots of expos including Brighton SEO, Prolific North Live and The Fit Show.

We’ve seen bowling become the new darts, we’ve had a day taming lions and feeding penguins at West Midland Safari Park, we’ve eaten the biggest sandwiches you’ve ever seen and got all glam and glittery for our Christmas Party.

It’s not all about us

We’ve had an incredible year as a team and this year we’ve done more than ever to give back.

We were one of the five headline sponsors at Dougie Mac’s 50th Anniversary Ball and also supported their Christmas Jumper Day by donning our favourite festive knits. We were delighted to also be presented with a Gold Business Partnership Award for our support. We got our Mary Berry on to bake our finest goods in a competitive coffee morning for Macmillan and sponsored a table at the YMCA Youth Matters Awards.

To finish the year off, instead of Christmas gifts for clients this year, we’re donating to four charities: Dougie Mac, YMCA, Cancer Research UK and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

I guess all that’s left to say is ‘thank you’, thanks for supporting us and here’s to 2024…
