Launching an online community for the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group

18th January 2023

The Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) has launched an online community for its members, CCLG Connect, in partnership with leading digital agency, Cantarus.

CCLG is a leading children’s cancer charity and professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer in the UK and Ireland. The charity selected Cantarus thanks to their expertise in delivering online communities for charities, including Youth Sport Trust and NHS Charities Together.

The CCLG Connect online community is exclusive to members – consultants, doctors, nurses, surgeons, and other specialists – and is a dedicated forum-style space to share ideas, knowledge, job advertisements, advice, problem-solving, collaboration, and ultimately to connect with each other.

The community also features a variety of Groups & Categories including special interest groups and helpful resources for wellbeing, which are open access to all members. Members can also tag specific people they want to connect with easily.

Claire Shinfield, Head of Engagement at CCLG, comments:

“Thanks so much to Cantarus for helping us to launch CCLG Connect! We’re so excited to be able to enrich our members with better engagement, easy access to a range of meaningful content, and a dedicated place to be able to support each other.”

Mark Eichler, Principal Consultant at Cantarus, adds:

“It was an absolute pleasure to help bring CCLG Connect to fruition. The charity is a wonderful cause to be a part of, and to see the community in action is really rewarding. We’re looking forward to seeing it continue to expand and thrive.”
