Are you safe surfing?

After all of the hacking over the last 6 months we thought we would ensure you are surfing safe! Below are some simple tips to ensure that you are surfing safe on the web and keeping your accounts safe from hackers and scammers. Some of these tips are easy to implement but it is amazing how many of us do not even follow the most basic of security rules.

#1 Create a clever password & change it regularly

One of the simplest methods you can do is protect your account with a clever password. Try to include, numb3r5, CAPITAL LETTERS, and $ym?o!s into your password. It is also essential to change your password regularly!

#2 Enrol in 2-step verification

To enable you to keep track of who is logging in and out of accounts, this 2- step verification adds an extra layer of security to your account.

#3 Check your network

When logging into secure and safe accounts such as bank accounts, it is important you know the network you are logging into, making sure you do not log into public Wi-Fi. This is ensuring hackers do not access your account through the connection network.

#4 Check for Viruses

Viruses and malware are the top ways hackers access your accounts, therefore, making sure your virus protection is up-to-date is crucial! Make sure you keep regular updates on your protection and make sure you are always using the most up-to-date trusted anti-virus software.

#5 Be vigilant

Catching small problems is crucial to ensure you keep your account safe. You can never be too cautious! Catching small problems early will enable you to track the virus before it gets too big.

And Remember...Safe Surfing!
