Superstar legal practitioners supported by deep industry knowledge and market intelligence – that’s Osborne Clarke in a nutshell. We’ve been working with them on the design and strategy of their international website and microsites since 2017.
Their corporate website www.osborneclarke.com had plenty of regularly updated content from international legal experts, but Osborne Clarke’s user journey wasn’t always well-defined. There were missed opportunities for engagement, and while UX improvements were taking place, other individual site sections and microsites were being updated independently. The result was a site which felt generally disjointed and inconsistent.
We applied Atomic Design principles to the website, breaking down every element into its smallest components. Once we had the correct design foundation in place, we moved on to motion design: making sure the brand was reinforced by interactions on the site. It helped reduce the length of the pages and create the best possible user experience.
With the digital design team in full control of the site components, we could ensure complete consistency whenever a new page template was created.
Osborne Clarke offices around the world can now display unique content and CTAs to reflect their individual business objectives, all whilst maintaining brand consistency. The Atomic Design principles make brand-consistent design updates quicker, with changes automatically applied to all relevant assets. That adds up to huge savings of time and resources. And it's made the client-agency briefing process much simpler, too.
