About

Moray joined the agency in 2004 and has held the role of Managing Director, Scotland since 2011. With over 20 years’ sector experience, he has responsibility for Weber Shandwick’s offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, and is an expert in crisis, political communications and integrated campaigns.

Moray has a strong record of innovation and delivery in public relations and public affairs, including as a senior political adviser in Scotland and New Zealand. He previously worked as Head of Communications for Strathclyde Passenger Transport, was director for the Scottish Conservatives and a special adviser (media) to a cabinet minister in New Zealand's first coalition government. 

Moray has led activity to support Bristow Helicopters win the UK search and rescue contract, as well as Serco’s winning bids for NorthLink Ferries and the Caledonian Sleeper.

Under Moray’s leadership Weber Shandwick has won CIPR Scottish Agency of the Year three times and was named Scottish Large Consultancy of the Year at the 2018 PRCA Dare Awards. He has placed a particular emphasis on developing people; the agency in Scotland is now accredited at Gold level for Investors in People and has also gained Investors in Young People certification.

He created the award-winning www.scotlandvotes.com, Scotland’s leading and impartial election internet portal. He is a panellist on the Shereen Show and the weekly media review on BBC Radio Scotland, and is a regular contributor on BBC2’s Daily Politics programme.
