Gavin Boyle

About

Gavin is an award-winning designer, and Creative Director of Studiovine, where he oversees the creative and strategic direction of the head studio in Plymouth, Devon.

He received his National Diploma and BA (Hons) Degree from University College Falmouth where he studied Graphic Design and Art History for 7 years. During this time he won his first of many awards including National UK Winner and Bronze medal for Starpack Packaging Industry Innovation Awards presented by M&S back in 2004. It was during this awards presentation that Gavin was offered his first full-time job as an Artworker for a full-service Design Agency in Central London.

Gavin’s inspiration and ambition for design first developed from simply buying records during the early 90’s, admiring the works of creatives such as the highly influential Peter Saville who formed Factory Records in the late 70’s, designing record covers for iconic British bands such as Joy Division, New Order, Suede and Pulp.

Prior to Studiovine, Gavin has worked in London, The Channel Islands and around the South West region of England as a designer, heading projects for industry-leading clients such as adidas, The Ritz, Disney, Russel Hobbs, Flymo, Dulux to name a few!

He now works between the two branches of Studiovine in Plymouth and Bristol in the South West, using his experience to understand, execute and achieve our clients’ goals.
