As the newest member of the Studio Mashbo team, Holly Plant began working with the company in November 2012, but her writing career's been a long time coming!

From early aspirations of wanting to be a fashion model or lead singer in a band- Holly always wanted to stand out from the crowd.

An astute student, she got on well in school; excelling in English and mastering Music. She quickly fell in love with classic literature, poetry and baking.

At the tender age of 18, Holly moved away to study Imaginative Writing at LJMU, picking up freelance projects along the way. She then went on to complete an MA in Narrative Media and became involved with the local press, gaining valuable experience and contacts along the way.

In 2008 she started her own blog; Book it or Cook it posting recipes, reviews and interesting facts. But rather than wait for an opportunity to fall into her lap, Holly went 'back to school', completing an NCTJ in Multi-media Journalism at Liverpool Community College.

Last year, Holly set up a marketing and PR department within the company she worked for. However, she quickly outgrew the role, met the guys at Studio Mashbo and the rest, as they say, is history.....When she's not putting pen to paper, Holly likes to eat out and go to the cinema. She also enjoys baking a cake or two... her collection of weird and wonderful musical instruments also help keep her entertained as does her cat, Betty.
