Advancing the Brand Advancing Fire Safety
Originally Firefighter Safety Research Institute – FSRI wanted to expand its capabilities and the stakeholder
groups it engaged, leading with a name change. Now, “Fire” Safety Research Institute, a logo featuring
a firefighter was too narrow. We had to maintain brand equity, and continue the trend of honoring FSRI’s
heritage while signaling where FSRI is going. The result was a shift in what the logo features while evoking
the old logo’s foundations of color and style. Equity maintained. Expanded purpose fostered.
