SO Marketing Launches Level Up Initiative

11th May 2021

We’re officially launching our SO - Level Up initiative!

This scheme was set up to ensure our services are at the cutting edge of what’s possible in the digital world. As a service business is based on the service level the team provides, we want to help our team to help us to take it to the next level.

The digital world is constantly evolving, with new techniques, trends and platforms coming out all the time. To maintain our excellent standards, we need to learn continuously and keep on top of what’s going on in our respective industries.

The initiative has two phases, both aim to put progression in the hands of the individuals.

PHASE ONE: CREATE YOUR OWN CAREER

An individual review with a line manager where we find out what drives our team and what they enjoy the most about their roles.

As we hire experts in each field, it’s our leadership team’s job to offer support and enable employees to do their roles to the highest standard. We don’t believe in telling people what to do.

This mindset translates into personal development plans. Our creatives tell us how they want to progress their careers.

We then create a personal development plan to help them get to where they want to be, attaching promotions to the KPI’s agreed between creative and manager.

PHASE TWO:

We fund employee personal development through courses, equipment and books.

There will be a compulsory minimum spend for each team member per year. To hit their goals, they have to put in the work.

The personal development plans will keep everyone on track, enhancing individual skill sets and collectively the agency’s services.

Progress is measured in regular development catch ups. We will use the learnings to level up our services and keep at the cutting edge of what is happening in our fields.

Our marketing communications will then reflect our learnings to ensure clients know what is going on in the digital world.

SO… we’re excited to take it to the next level!
