Background
Burges Salmon is an independent UK law firm with extensive knowledge and experience across a broad range of sectors and specialisms. Their Private Wealth team represents UK and international high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients.
Challenge
For high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, philanthropy is an increasing priority. But knowing where to start can be a daunting task. Without an informed strategy in place, it can be easy to fall foul of avoidable pitfalls.
Burges Salmon’s award-winning Private Wealth team helps connect the dots between planning, implementation, monitoring and review, so that their clients can build valuable relationships with partners and advisors.
They needed a practical, actionable guide that spoke to a high- and ultra-high-net-worth audience, helping them kickstart their philanthropic journey.
Solution
Authentic insight was key to create a guide that truly resonated with this audience. Through specialist tools, we gathered original research from a typically tricky-to-access demographic. We surveyed a group of high-net-worth individuals in combination with findings from client and advisor interviews. This became the foundation of a practical and actionable guide, outlining key challenges and considerations for those at the start of their philanthropic journey.
Communicating quality and trustworthiness to an audience used to luxury brands and high-end offerings required considered creative. Our creative team developed an overarching concept that complemented the messaging, without subscribing to overused clichés. The result was an impactful and digestible guide to set Burges Salmon apart in a competitive market.
