The Drum turned from publisher to publican at Advertising Week

During Advertising Week Europe The Drum hired out a west-end pub, and as well as being a popular watering-hole, it was with exciting sessions and panel discussions. 

Highlights from the week were a discussion on mobile marketing, a session on personalisation and customer experience, and a special edition of Would I Lie To You, hosted by The Drum Network. 

How does your agency compare? 

We hosted our own event, in conjunction with Peter Czapp, founder of The Wow Company with some great content. We invited Peter to reveal the findings of their 2017 agency Benchmarking Report to inform the audience the kind of activity agencies are doing to ensure growth. Key takeaways included:

  • 30% of agencies plan to grow more than 20%
     
  • 55% of agencies plan to increase prices
     
  • Agencies see becoming part of an agency owner community a priority - so it is great that you are using RAR! 
     
  • Most agencies expect to hire this year with a strong focus on sales and account management roles 
     
  • If you invested in a project to help develop your business you may be eligable for a tax rebate through Research and Development tax relief
