Victoria Ellis (Senior PR Account Manager)

Victoria Ellis

About

As an Account Director Victoria works across a range of our accounts, predominantly in the B2B sector.

Victoria has a passion for science and communication. Prior to joining KISS she studied Biology at the University of Manchester, before specialising in her final year and graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Zoology.

Victoria wrote her dissertation on science communication, drawing on her experience blogging for Scienceblog.com. Both her dissertation and blog enabled her to hone her ability to write about complex science, and tailor the content for different audiences.

Her passion for writing scientific articles was recently accredited as she joined the Association of British Science Writers.

Victoria previously worked for Holdsworth Associates and joined KISS in 2014. Her expertise spans science and technology, with particular experience in agri-tech, pharmaceuticals, environment, healthcare and clean-tech.

She currently works on several of our B2B clients' accounts, including Bayer’s Crop Science division and Durbin. Previous clients include Bourn Hall Clinic, Crop Protection Association, David Ball Group, Intamac, IMServ, Melbourn Scientific, Norwich Research Park, SureFlap and ViewRanger.

Over the years Victoria has developed a particular aptitude for content marketing, particularly thought-leadership, and has used this proven PR tactic to position her clients as leaders in their field. Her work was recently recognised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, with a thought-leadership campaign for David Ball Group earning KISS a silver Corporate and Business Communications Campaign award.

Victoria has also utilised case studies in order to gain column inches for her clients, and can regularly be found traipsing across farmers’ fields for Bayer. Recently Victoria has become responsible for more and more of our clients’ social media accounts, whether it be up-front strategy, content development, or day-to-day management of the account.

Victoria’s interests include most sports and she has been the captain of our KISS Chariots of Fire team for the last two years. She is also a keen hockey player and a member of one of Cambridge City Hockey Club’s ladies teams. Proceed with caution if you ask her about her latest game and haven’t got at least 10 minutes to spare.
