Avian & Blue2 were appointed to support Leisure & Culture Dundee as creative and digital partners for DUNDEE2023, Dundee’s pre-Brexit bid, to become European Capital of Culture 2023.
Working under a tight deadline timeframe the bid team mobilised the agency’s creative and digital teams to creatively articulate what Dundee’s bid might look and feel like developing the new brand identity and a highly creative, interactive website.
The creative material strongly represented the variety and diversity of cultural and artistic influences and events in the city. The common goal throughout the campaign was to capture the city’s enthusiasm for the bid by instilling an exciting energy within the brand and website. This was achieved by use of bright colours, movement and a wide mix of cultural imagery and videos to create an energetic, modern and colourful visual style.
