Breaking news from't INK Digital studio is tha' a special Yorkshire edition Pokémon has done a runner! 'OwDo is the name of the new character, a flat cap wearing, bobby dazzler of a terrier and he's on't loose in't streets of Halifax to join the Yorkshire Day celebrations.

'OwDo will no doubt be popping up in various locations in't town centre on Monday 1st August and the INK team will be posting any sightings of him on Facebook and Twitter throughout the day.

The public is encouraged to share suggestions as to where he might be hiding next using the hashtag #YorkshireDayPokemon. Powered by a good builder's brew means he's reet fast at disappearing, so it might be tricky to catch him, but by 'eck will there be some of Halifax's loveliest landmarks to enjoy while trying.

The agency is hoping 'OwDo will return to t'INK Towers in time for his chippy tea. Hollie Wilcox, Head of Marketing and Communications at INK said, “From what we've seen ‘OwDo is a cheeky scamp, but I guess he’s excited to celebrate his Yorkshire roots and love of gravy. We hope everyone logs on to follow his adventure and has a go at guessing where he might pop up next.”
