Pulse is now Transmission

5th December 2018

Today we announce a new name and an evolved focus as we launch offices in the US and APJ to continue our growth and better serve our international client base.

This is an exciting step in the evolution of our B2B marketing agencies Pulse, Pace and Transmission. All three agencies will combine under the Transmission brand as part of an international expansion that sees the agency provide global service coverage.

Transmission opens the doors to three new offices in key locations around the world; in San Francisco, Singapore and Sydney, adding to existing offices in London and Munich.

With this international expansion comes internal moves and new appointments. Current Head of Strategy and Planning Ricky Abbott will move to head up the agency’s Americas region and will become President, Americas. Ricky will be relocating to Transmission’s new San Francisco office.

In APJ, John Massey has been appointed as Managing Director to drive growth and oversee client services from the new Singapore office.

Current Managing Director, Chris Bagnall, becomes CEO across the company.

Along with announcing a new name, we have evolved our focus. Pulse and Pace were B2B tech client specialist agencies and Transmission focused on non-tech B2B clients. The newly combined Transmission serves all B2B verticals but with a major specialism in tech.

Transmission’s new mantra is “Customer Obsessed, Unified Marketing”. Using a data-driven approach to drive insight, we put our clients’ customers at the centre of everything. The emphasis is upon ensuring every message is compelling, personally relevant, and delivered at exactly the right time. Constantly listening and analysing. Continually testing and enhancing. Transmission will combine consultancy, strategy, creativity and content, with media planning, omnichannel activation, and delivery to drive unified experiences that provoke real action.

Commenting on the announcement, Chris Bagnall, our CEO said “I’m excited to announce the next stage in our evolution. It was clear we needed a new name that gave us focus and consistency as we expanded into new territories. “Pulse” was just too commonly used as an agency name for us to keep and differentiate ourselves globally. We can now continue our expansion as one single company brand, all aligned to our new positioning.”

Chris further added, “Our new international offices give us a unique ability to service the growing needs of many of our clients with more local support. Often our clients have complex pan-international business transformational needs, as well as more local strategic and tactical marketing program requirements. Our truly full-service, single-agency approach can now be extended to cater for these increasing client requirements”.

Transmission will continue to build on the impressive success that each agency has had during the five years since the inception of Pulse. In more recent years we have received notable acclaim, becoming the fastest-growing B2B agency in the UK, winning many industry awards for our client work, appearing in eConsultancy’s top 100 digital agencies league table and more recently being named in LinkedIn’s top 25 most sought-after start-ups list.
