Cottage Delight is a well established FMCG business trading for over 45 years. Based in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands, Cottage Delight is internationally known for its expansive range of flavours and great quality ingredients. The journey began with a simple recipe of butter fudge and it is still popular today.
All recipes are created in the Cottage Delight kitchen, where inspiration meets traditional ingredients. Putting fresh spins on old favourites, but guaranteeing the quality by using tried and tested methods, Cottage Delight has won an amazing 184 Great Taste Awards since the awards began.
After a rebrand to reinforce its position as a leading exclusive food brand, Cottage Delight wanted a new website that would allow for future business growth and provide a better ecommerce experience for the user. The rebrand and digital strategy plays an integral role in helping Cottage Delight to widen its audience and appealing to a millennial demographic.

Replatform from Magento 1 to WooCommerce
With Magento 1 coming to its end of life, Cottage Delight wanted to replatform to a WordPress WooCommerce website. Coinciding with a rebrand, the website implemented the new branding into Cottage Delight’s digital presence. The functionality in the administration on WordPress is bespoke and more user friendly than the previous website, allowing Cottage Delight to track orders and manage stock more efficiently through the WooCommerce platform.
Flexible Ecommerce Website
Cottage Delight wanted an ecommerce solution that was easily scalable for business growth. Agility and the FMCG sector go hand in hand, so the website needed to be responsive to any changes and able to add new products easily. With an added functionality feature for Cottage Delight’s phase two plans, it will enable the brand to appeal more to consumers directly and a competitive offering in the retail and gifting space.
SEO Handover and Ongoing SEO support
During the migration to the new site, all old pages were redirected to the new site ensuring a seamless integration. Being platformed on a WordPress CMS, the new website is fully optimised for SEO going forward to improve rankings even further. SO Marketing will provide ongoing SEO support with backlink building, keyword tracking and optimisation.
