RBL has used the following skills/services in the project.
Saving lives and rebuilding futures through awareness, research and support, Meningitis Now is a powerful voice for those affected by this devastating disease
Meningitis Trust and Meningitis UK have come together in 2013 to create a united force in the fight to prevent meningitis and to support families living with the after effects. RBL was appointed to help develop the strategic direction, name and brand for the newly merged charity.
In this highly competitive and tough economic environment, the merged charity needs to excel at articulating a powerful message, capturing attention and building a more diverse supporter base. Following an insightful evaluation stage, we worked with the senior team to develop a clear direction for this ambitious social enterprise, that is more strategic in intent and highly effective in execution.
Stakeholder consultation was an extremely important part of process. The ongoing communication and governance surrounding the project was highly complex, with the team needing to involve and get buy in from key groups such as the Board of Trustees. All this, while the team has been campaigning tirelessly throughout 2013 for the introduction of a licensed MenB vaccine into the routine Childhood Immunisation Programme in the UK.
The majority of people engaged during the process had an emotional investment in the charity and its performance, and there were many parts of the project that needed to be dealt with very sensitively. We facilitated several extremely moving focus groups, involving sufferers, their families, volunteers, and donors in the future direction of the charity, ensuring that the views of those affected by the disease were reflected in the new brand.
A new name, Meningitis Now, and a distinctive new brand look and feel is just the start; their new outlook – brave, bold and bright – has given the team a renewed energy and determination to drive forward.
We continue to work with Meningitis Now as they continue saving lives and rebuilding futures.
