Top 100 agencies outside London announced

The Drum and RAR again joined forces to find which are the best performing businesses in the agency scene outside London. This year over 700 agencies were eligible to be considered ie they have been highly rated by their clients on RAR and they are headquartered outside London.
The Top 100 report examines the agencies' performance in terms of revenue, revenue growth, percentage revenue growth, profitability, profit growth and efficiency (turnover per head of staff).
The agencies are then ranked against each other for each of the six factors and then an average rank is calculated to give the overall position in the Top 100.
The Fresh Group stormed straight to the top in their first year as a recommended agency.
Fresh Group finance Director Antony Wilson commented, “Our focus on client development has been key to fresh’s growth over its seven years but to be recognised specifically for our robust key performance indicators, such as year-on-year growth, gross profit and turnover per employee, is truly rewarding.”

Second place also went to a new entry in the league, the HPS Group.
Not surprisingly a media buying company scooped the top place for turnover and turnover per head and that agency was Brilliant Media, now part of Mediacom.

EMO had the best gross profit and K2L had experienced the best turnover growth in relation to their previous size, by more than tripling their revenue.
