Deuce Studio has used the following skills/services in the project.
Thea Brooke the founder of The Brook Plant-based Kitchen asked Deuce Studio to refresh the packaging design of their frozen ready meals range to reflect the high quality and premium nature of the product, in preparation to launch 2 new flavours and another completely new product range.
Another reason that sparked the packaging refresh was a change in the packaging structure, to a more planet-friendly and sustainable format. The new trays are over 90% paper and the plastic lining inside is also recyclable. They are also lighter which means more energy efficient shipping and the use of less raw materials throughout the whole process.
Deuce Studio approached the packaging refresh with an in-depth market research process to further understand the frozen ready meal and plant-based eating categories. This informed the new look and feel with the inclusion of a largely product image focused approach, highlighting the delicious restaurant quality of the meals.
Deuce Studio also created a new streamlined and easier to understand flavour system through the use of a considered approach to the use of colour and more delicious sounding product descriptions.
The final challenge was to develop a set of icons and callouts that clearly represented the health benefits and flavour profiles of each dish, including a recycling callout that was consistent across the range to highlight The Brookâs sustainable credentials, which is important to environmentally conscious consumers, especially those interested in plant-based living.
