Nick Rees is Chief Creative Officer (designer) at independent brand design agency Bulletproof.
Responsible for the creative output of all Bulletproof studios – London, New York, Singapore, Amsterdam and Sydney – Nick prides himself in calling out the egos that can complicate the creative process. Rather than taking the traditional route via university, Nick’s journey to CCO of Bulletproof was driven by a naturally creative mind partnered with hard graft and a will to succeed

The harshest critic of his own work, Nick is adamant about finding a simple but elegant creative solution and then immersing himself in the detail of execution. This means that he and his team are constantly pushing boundaries and holding themselves to the highest creative standards.

Nick has used this philosophy with some of the world’s most high-profile brands including Schweppes, Heineken, White Claw, Diageo and Cadbury, and his work has been featured by diverse media such as the BBC, Creative Review and The Daily Mail.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys working on a wide range of creative projects, including a keen interest in carpentry and wood turning. He finds that working a simple piece of wood into a beautiful bowl or crafting a joint on a chair with only his own creative brief in mind is massively liberating and an important contrast to his professional role.
