THE CLIENT
Dixons Carphone, owners of Currys and PC World, dominates the UK market for White Goods, Computing and Consumer Electronics and is Europe’s largest specialist electrical retailing and services company.
THE OBJECTIVES
To achieve 12 links to Currys PC World’s GoPro range page, with an overall average domain authority (DA) of 25.
To increase SEO and direct traffic for GoPro by 15%.
To increase the overall reach for GoPro by 10%.
THE STRATEGY
We came up with a simple yet creative concept: to create an interactive map of the most extreme sports activities to enjoy across the UK.
We created a unique landing page which included copy related to capturing the enjoyment of the highlighted sports using a GoPro camera.
We engaged with prominent travel and adventure influencers, and asked them to try out some of the extreme sports using the GoPro Hero 6.
We outreached the interactive map and our influencers’ experiences to travel publications in order to attract high domain authority links to the page.
THE RESULTS
18 referring domains and 42 backlinks to the content page.
Average domain authority (DA) of referring domains was 43.
SEO and direct traffic for GoPro increased by 32.94%, a 119.6% improvement on our 15% target.
Overall reach for GoPro increased by 17.67%, a 76.7% improvement on our 10% target.
