With the future of Harris at its heart, the Isle of Harris Distillery in Tarbert is driven by a deep and abiding love for the beauty and character of the island and its people.
Known as a ‘Social Distillery’, the concept aimed to create an enterprise that will thrive for decades and even centuries to come, sending the story of the island out into the world.
Our challenge was to reflect the brand values of honest, true and simple whilst also conveying the elemental nature of the island.
We created the simple letter H from three coloured bars, each representing pre-existing brand elements of stone, water and the ‘welcoming hearth’ within the building. The distressed nature of the identity giving it a weathered feel reflecting the elemental nature of the island.
This brand identity and look and feel was then carried through all promotional material including stationery, digital applications leaflets, and promotional packaging.
A strong, cohesive brand which has positioned The Isle of Harris Distillery as a unique and premium brand in the sector.
A ‘1,916’ limited edition book, giving the purchaser to taste one of the very first makings of 'The Hearach', the distillery's single malt whisky and giving them a special ‘Guest for Life’ status for distillery tours.
