About

Patrick is a communications and media expert with more than two decades experience in PR and journalism.

As founder and managing director of Simpatico PR, Patrick has first-hand experience of the challenges faced by business start-ups and in particular developing a compelling and differentiated proposition in a crowded market.

Since launching in January 2012, Simpatico PR, based in London’s Soho Square, has grown rapidly and boasts a portfolio of some of the world’s most prominent businesses and exciting start-ups in design, media, technology, research and marketing. The agency offers a fusion of media relations and content services.

Patrick began his career as a journalist covering retail, fmcg, financial services, motoring, advertising and marketing for titles such as The Guardian, Marketing magazine, Broadcast and Supermarketing magazine. Patrick was also Editor of Media Week magazine for five years, during seismic changes created by the first dotcom boom and subsequent bust and the digitisation of media. He featured in Media Week’s 30th anniversary issue, contributing an article on the changes within the commercial media industry he witnessed as editor.

Serving as a Board Director for Limelight Public Relations and The Media Foundry, Patrick worked with a diverse range of businesses and brands including Tate Modern, Kopparberg, Global Radio, BT:fon, research organisations such as NRS, Rajar, media and creative companies such as The Marketing Store, Fallon, McCann Erickson, JKR and Elmwood and planning and architecture group Barton Wilmore.

Patrick is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and won a raft of PR industry awards for ComputerTan, a ground breaking digital campaign developed with McCann Erickson for cancer charity Skcin.
