About

I joined RocketMill in 2012 as Office Manager and PA to the Board, and was responsible for a range of duties across the business.

My role progressed quickly to include the management of the business’ finances, including performance against target, reporting, staff payroll and budget management; however, it was my interest in developing and helping our people that I became most passionate about. 

This led to me being appointed HR and Finance Manager in 2017, before becoming HR Manager in 2018. Outside of work, I am undertaking additional studies to become CIPD-qualified.

Today, I’m responsible for maintaining RocketMill’s position as the best place to work. Some of my greatest achievements include playing a part in growing the team from 12 to 65 over eight years, maintaining our multi-award winning status in the coveted lists of  Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work For and Campaign’s Best Places to Work.

I have founded many growth initiatives that help balance the interests of the team and the company. These include supporting the business when relocating to Brighton, spearheading our social committee, forming our first ever team of mental health first aiders and supporting with staff wellbeing by designing improved appraisal processes that encourage personal growth and career progression.

To me, HR is more than just people management, it focuses on every individual’s wellbeing, personal development and reward. After all, we know if we put our people first, they will do the finest work of their careers for our clients.
