Dale has come a long way since his 6am childhood paper round. FDC's managing director once grew a sales and marketing business from its humble beginnings in a first-floor flat in Chiswick all the way through to a 20-man operation located in the UK, Hong Kong, and the Channel Islands, while turning over £800k a year.He was also a key player in the development of the UK's first online organic traceability service, which provided the general public with information about the provenance of their organic produce, right down to the name of the farmer. The software was taken up by major supermarket chains, including Sainsbury's and Tesco. Dale is passionate about Japanese food and he values Virgin as a brand ("because they give the perception of trust across all of their services"); he's a keen waterskiier and he loves the reward of pleasing his clients: "Seeing a positive response is always a buzz".
