James Wheatley

About

James began his career in 1999 using his BA(hons) in Multimedia Design to become a web designer and coder, he then took on project management responsibilities and started delivering projects for prestigious brands like Heinz and Umbro in a hybrid producer role.

As the agency developed he specialised in user experience design and documentation before taking on the role of Head of Technical and Scoping for Brass. Guiding a team of project managers and ‘techies’ he oversaw the delivery or dozens of projects across multiple channels for companies like Ribena, Yorkshire Water and government departments like DfE

James is now Head of UX at brass and leads a user-centric, agile approach to delivering feature rich applications on mobile and the web. James is still very hands on recently designing a 5 star rated banking app for a financial client.
