About

Joining BOS in 2014 has enabled me to focus on what I enjoy the most; helping clients understand just how powerful a consumer engagement tool their packaging can be. I love opening clients’ eyes to the untapped potential their packaging holds to engage consumers, tell a brand’s story, sell the product, continue working in the home, work on screen and more.

So I spend my time finding and talking to clients who are as keen as I am to think big about the role of their packaging; I take great pleasure in evangelising about how partnering with BOS and taking advantage of our skills, experience and approach can bring about some phenomenal results for their business.

You will usually find me in our Cheltenham office but the urban appeal of our Leeds office means I’m up there as often as I can be.

My story

Spending 10 years in advertising in London gave me a great understanding of brands; working on campaigns for Marks & Spencer, Channel 4 and American Express at the likes of DDB and Y&R gave me a world class experience of client service. Working closely with the great Terence Conran at Conran Design Group gave me an eye for design that’s enabled me to help clients understand how design works and engages consumers. And it was the time I spent at Wickens Tutt Southgate, one of the earliest strategically focused packaging design agencies, that helped me realise that great packaging design starts with the tightest most inspirational brief.

But it’s the 15 years at Reach, the award winning packaging design consultancy I co-founded in 1998, that gave me the opportunity to bring all these learnings to fruition, creating highly effective packaging design for well known FMCG brands such as New Covent Garden Soup, Ryvita, Clearasil and Nature Valley.
