I lead. I inspire packaging fanaticism in everyone and it’s my job to make sure that the BOS team, clients and suppliers, all enjoy what we do. We have ambitious plans for the business, to the extent that we expect turnover to double in the next five years, so as well as doing the nice touchy-feely stuff, I’m also kept very busy with the responsibilities of running a medium (soon to be large) design consultancy.

I run a company of packaging fanatics, so not surprisingly I’m a packaging fanatic. It all began when I started my career in the marketing department of Colgate. Packaging quickly became my favourite medium for building a relationship with consumers. It’s more permanent than advertising, more strategic than promotions, more grounded than PR and digital didn’t exist in those days! When I moved to Kraft (managing the Kenco and Café Hag coffee brands) I found that, in a market with much less consumer loyalty than toothpaste, the packaging design played an even more critical role on shelf and in the home. With all this packaging fanaticism running through my veins I soon jumped to the agency side and have loved every minute since.
